The African Stroke Organization Conference brings together clinicians, researchers and policymakers working on stroke prevention, care delivery and research across Africa. The 2026 edition is the sixth, held jointly with the first Ethiopia Stroke Foundation Comprehensive Stroke Symposium, with a pre-conference day on 1 November and scientific sessions from 2 to 4 November in Addis Ababa plus a virtual option. Registration is free and the call for abstracts closed on 30 August 2026.

This is a clinical and research meeting rather than a development convening, so the room is stroke specialists and health system people. It earns a listing because Africa focused non communicable disease events are hard to find and this one is free to attend. Abstracts have already closed for 2026, so treat this year as a listen and network trip.
